The CTC junior program will be hosting the first outdoor junior open tournament of the season this long weekend. The Coquitlam Junior Spring Challenger will be held from this Friday, May 16 from 5 pm to Victoria Day Monday 5:30 pm at the Town Centre tennis courts. Many of our club juniors will be in actions.
Among the seeded players, we find Steven Baumann is seeded No. 3 in the boys' under 12 singles event. Alexandra Mandewo is the top seed in the girls' same age group. The third seeded CTC junior member is Silvana Huang. She is top seeded in the girls under 14 event. The boys under 14 and 16 events have the most club representatives with five each. Followed by the boys under 12 with four junior members. The girls under 18 event consists of three members. Only the girls under 10 event is not represented. Good luck to all the junior program members participating in this tournament.
With this tournament taking up all the court times at the Town Centre this long weekend, a reminder that no regular lessons have been scheduled for Saturday and Monday, except the Kids Tennis session B which starts this Saturday at 9 am and 10 am.
