Once again another Saturday another wet day. This seems to be the trend this spring. No lessons this morning for Kids Tennis. We have three hours remaining and two Saturdays to go before session B begins. For the next two Saturdays, May 4 and May 11, lessons time will be adjusted slightly. The first group A1 will start from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, and the second group A2 will begin at 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Also on May 4 and May 11, due to the club hosting the Coquitlam Open tournament over an eleven days period, all lessons will be conducted at the Eagle Ridge tennis courts on Guildford Way at Lansdowne Drive. It is about 3-4 minutes from the club's location. Heading east from the club on Guildford Way, it is past Pinetree Way and Johnson Street. The tennis courts are on the right after the traffic lights junction on Lansdowne Drive, next to the swimming pool. Next update is at 11 am.
10:50 AM EDIT: The wet weather is not looking any better for the next hour or two. The HP10 will be cancelled today. The weather forecast looks a little more promising over the next two Saturdays. For May 4 and May 11, the HP 10 start time will be adjusted slightly. Lessons will be from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. There is a chance of the rain stopping in the afternoon. Next update is at 12:30 pm
12:30 PM EDIT: I could be terribly wrong, but I still think the rain will stop sometime soon over the next hour or so. I'm hoping the HP14 will move ahead from 2 pm to 4 pm. I will call it at the 1 pm update for HP14. There is a good chance the HP18 will be lucky.
1 PM EDIT: I guess no chance for HP14 today. We will make it up over the next two Saturdays if the weather cooperates. For May 4 and May 11, HP14 will be for 3 hours from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. The next update for HP18 is at 2:30 pm. Note that we may start as late as 4 pm.
2:30 PM EDIT: Will wait until 3 pm for the final call. Parts of Vancouver and Burnaby are drying up.
3 PM EDIT: HP18 will move ahead with lessons starting at 4:15 pm. See you all at the courts.
