At the beginning of July Alex Baumann was ranked No. 97 in the under 14 age category (which includes the under 12 in the new ranking system). As of August 27, he has risen to No. 39! With two more matches to be counted for from the Coquitlam Junior Open Championships this past week, he will rise 2 more positions to No. 37. In the 13-14 age category, he is ranked No. 29. Baumann, who will turn 14 year old in October, has accumulated a win-loss record of 20-10 matches this year. The above picture of Baumann was taken during the BC Junior Hardcourts in early July. Results and pictures from the Coquitlam Junior Open Championships will be published next week. UPDATE: Alexander has instead risen 6 positions to No. 33 in the under 14 age catergory (No. 26 under the 13-14 age category).
