About Us

The Coquitlam Tennis Club is a non profit organization that functions with the cooperation of the City of Coquitlam. This club is managed by an executive committee comprising of elected volunteers. The annual election to the board of directors is during the club's Annual General Meeting in early fall. Our club rents court time from the city for our many activities including league and tournament events. We are an active club supporting adults through competitive and social play and supporting the juniors in our communities through our club's junior program.

The current junior program is managed by Adrian Tan who has contributed his time over the past 25 years. As the current junior program director, he had been elected to the board from 1989-1990 season to the 1997-1998 season, and again from 2007-2008 season onwards. He also held a second board position for five years as vice-president during the nineties.

The Coquitlam Tennis Club junior program operates from the beginning of April (or end of March) to the end of September. We have a dedicated team of instructors and coaches to offer tennis instructions and coaching for all skills level (kids tennis to high performance) and age groups (3 to 18 years old).

This program also extends farther with tennis camps in the summer, and tournament road trips planned for Victoria, Whistler, Duncan and Kamloops. This six months outdoor program is packed with instructions, competitions, and even friendships. This gives juniors a regular training period, continuity and improvement in their tennis and fitness.

Our tennis club also host two Tennis BC sanctioned junior open tournaments during the season in May and August. Whether you are an entry level junior seeking to learn the game, or a competitive player eager to raise your game, your participation in our junior program will be fun and the experience will be unique and memorable.
